The Bow School Reunion exceeded our wildest expectations. It was organised within the Covid-19 context and was worth the three years of preparation. Fifty-two years had elapsed since many of us were last together in Durham. Ten Old Bowites (OBs) from the 1968-71 era attended, along with ten OBs from earlier years, three Bow School teachers, six partners, Jon Glen’s aunt Ursula Glen, Nicki Telfer, and three staff from Durham School who hosted the buffet. The “elder” OBs who predated us made an enormous contribution in sharing their memories of Charlie Adamson (CLA) and the school from a more historical perspective. Eventually, more photographs of the reunion may be circulated within our Facebook group site and our Bow School open website here. Tim McCann and his partner Julie Flett attended on Sunday only. Alan Doig (55-61) attended but does not appear in the photographs. If and when any further events, collaborative writing, and reunions are planned they will be announced on these sites. If any attenders wish to share their reflections of the reunion and/or their previous time at Bow, we would be gladly welcome and publish them. If you discover any Bow memorabilia like photographs or documents, please share them with us. And finally, if you have any clues as to the whereabouts of the many lost or missing OBs who are unaware of the reunion, please send them to us. If anyone wants to add to this evolving story or provide corrections, please do so.
